The riding of Prince George-Peace River was the most successful one in British Columbia for the Alliance (then Reform) in Election '97. That year Jay Hill carried 66.9% of the vote. This riding will fall to the Alliance easily.

Culturally really more tied in with NW Alberta than with Lotus Land, keep in mind that this is also the heartland of BC Reform.

the upset of the night. thorpe has outworked hill. hill's overconfidence and arrogance will not be lost on these grassroots voters who hate being taken for granted.
