Chuck is a popular anti-crime politician. He will be going back to Ottawa.

Chuck Cadman easily won this riding in '97 with 47% of the vote. Much of his victory had to do with local activism within the criminal justice system due to the murder of his teenage son. Cadman has kept extremely good realtions with his riding in the last three years, including mantaining a website that leaps and bounds above his fellow MP's. This paired with the Alliance's get tough on crime policy (to compliment his own political interests) gives the momentum and another victory to Cadman in Surrey North.

With his burly ponytailed biker's physique and the family tragedy that motivated him into politics, Chuck Cadman's the apotheosis of Reform's heartbreakingly romantic white-trash-with-a-conscience undercurrent--perfect for the most NDP-leaning of Surrey's ridings, so they're Surreying down to another CA picnic...

Cadman is a favorite here in this very conservative riding. He has been active in the community and done a lot for the community in Ottawa. In addition, he is especially popular with the young people.

Chuck's message is going to dovetail with the current hysteria in Surrey in the wake of the Heather Thomas murder. People in this area are very, very angry and afraid for their children's safety. Chuck honestly connects with that pain. Expect a massive Alliance victory.
