This provincial riding has always elected a right-wing candidate (Socred, Tory, BCLiberal). In the 1972 Barrett sweep, the closest the NDP came was 5% of victory, and that was their best ever result here. This riding is populated by small businesses, religious "bible-belt" conservatives, and a low level of education. Lynn Stephens could stay home and she would still win by a landslide.

Lynn Stephens will win again. Interestingly, she is probably the most left of the Fraser Valley Liberals but the party momentum will easily put here over in right-leaning Langley.

Stephens will win handily. Any Fraser Valley riding is solidly Liberal.
