The SF vote has continued to increase here, and the Unionist vote is now so low that even if they all voted for the SDLP it would not be enough to get Attwood elected.

The events of the past few years have rendered the odds of a Sinn Fein loss in West Belfast incredibly remote. Gerry Adams to hold the seat, probably with at least 55%.

As if Sinn Fein would lose this seat. The people of Belfast West didn't elect Gerry Adams to represent them in London. They elected him to send a message to the rest of the UK, Norhern Ireland wants out. Though that isn't likely in the near future, that message will continue.
