Nick Raynsford shouldn't be having sleepless nights quite yet about losing his seat but he may be interested to see if the Lib Dems (for whom this was theoretically in 1997 one of the best chances - a bit of a hang over from the SDP in reality) will regain a little of their strength here. 1997 saw big falls in areas where the SDP were once strong and it could be that the Lib Dems are dead and buried here but we will have to wait and see. |
