30/04/01 JR Email:
The LibDems have steadily been gaining strength in this seat for some time. Tory MP Edward Garnier only got 41% last time and would be vulnerable to a tactical squeeze. However, Labour have a young and ambitious candidate in Raj Jethwa and will hold on to their votes.
04/05/01 MB Email:
This is the only Lib-Dem target for miles, and extra party workers should flock to the seat. Tactical voting should take off due to new web-sites and voter awareness. Charles Kenedy will not just be fooling around in The West Country!
