The Lib Dems should have given the Tories a bit of a run for their money here in 1997 but as in a number of such seats, Labour came from almost nowhere to almost steal second place from the Lib Dems. Unless there is a big tactical switch back from Labour to the Lib Dems this time round (or vice versa), the Tories are unlikely to be unseated here. |
