syllap, your suggestion that the relative unknown Liberal Misty MacLaughlin could even begin to challenge PC incumbent Brad Green leads me to believe that it is YOU who is smoking too much at the Diplomat. |

Probably not much of a race here, unlike some other Fredericton ridings. Brad Green should have an easy time of it. The Liberal candidate does not seem to be well known, which could cause a close finish for second and third with the NDP. |

Brad Green will crush the opposition. Fredericton South likes bland solid politicians like David Clark and Russell King, and Brad Green is certainly a chip off the pld block there. Given this and a bland non-controversial time as AG for New Brunswick nad it will be the Tories in a cake walk here. The Liberal's have, by all appearances, offered up a sacrificial candidate and didn't even hold a nominating convention. Some insiders say because they had no candidates others say they panicked, but it really doesn't matter. Another bland solid politician in the likeness of Mackenzie King, David Clark and Russ King will be re-elected in Fredericton South. |

Misty Mclaughlin is the Liberal candidate in this riding and could prove a tougher racer for Brad Green than he thinks, watch this one closely, we could have a surprise. |

Incumbent Justice Minister Brad Green should keep this seat for the Tories. It will fall only if there is a general province-wide backlash against them, and I doubt that will happen. The Liberals have yet to nominate a candidate, weakening their ability to win the voters' imagination. The NDP candidate, meanwhile, resembles most NDP candidates that have run in Fredericton South before. They tend to appeal more to the professional/champaign socialist crowd rather than working class voters. This should remain a PC bastion. |
