The Francophone voters here will give the Bloc it's biggest support since 1993, it will be a close 50/50 race here.
The fear of Conservatives here is greater then a fear of Bloc support. This isn't Beauce or mainland Quebec, this is Montreal-Suburbia with a big diverse ethnic community who many of them will ignore the scandals and vote Liberal to bloc the Conservatives.
Remember, Montreal-area ethnic voters hold a grudge against Mulroney's PC for their Reagan-omics during his reign. A bigger grudge then any grudge against souverenists. Liberal voters will be out in full force with a close close race against the Francophone Bloc voters.

Believe it or not, this riding will be among the three closest ones in Quebec and among the closest ones in all of Canada. Both, the LPC and the BQ have around 50 % of chances to win it. The LPC will get out the vote this time around but the split of the federalist vote might deter them from winning it. It's truly as unpredictable as it gets. The presence of a strong Conservative candidate of Tibetan descent will work against Liberals in this riding. At the end of the day, I think it'll come down to as much as 150-200 votes between the LPC and the BQ, but if I had to guess I'd go for Saada and the Liberals winning it by that margin. It's anyone's game but I think Liberals will get that extra edge to win it.

Saada will not win this seat.
People speak or organisation and how he is implanted...Non il ne l'est pas! Saada lost most of his team in between election because of the Adscam. If you count into this that is margin of victory has been getting slimmer and that Mr.Lussier the Bloc candidate is running again this is a tough fight. Count in also the CPC candidate Tenzin Khangsar whose multilingual, asian with an incredible background.
If Lapierre loses Outremont, then Saada will lose Brossard-Laprairie its that simple.
The major support for Saada comes from the Asian community which is disgusted with the sponsorship scandal. The Chinese New Year is also on the 16th from what I remember; many of them will not show up this time.

With the liberals having recovered somewhat Jacques Saada may just narrowly hold his riding, but I wouldn't count on it. He will likely do well in the Northern parts (Brossard) where there is a large immigrant community who cannot stomach voting BQ, Tories, or NDP, but the BQ will do well in the Southern parts (La Prairie), which is predominately francophone and was even won by the Parti Quebecois in the last provincial election when the PQ only got 33% while most polls put the BQ around 50%.

This would be a shoe-in for the BQ had it not been for the non-francophone voters of Brossard. Many of them fearing the seperatists (much like Belinda?) may hold their noses and vote Liberal anyways.

The last Léger Marketing poll (http://www.radio-canada.ca/nouvelles/Index/nouvelles/200505/14/004-Sondage-souverainete.shtml) puts the federal Liberals at 24%. Léger was among the most accurate pollsters in Quebec during the last campaign. I know polls are to be taken with a grain of salt, but it's a bad omen for the Grits in traditionally federalist ridings. If an election is held next month or in July, and such support stays that low, it might mean a shift of around 4,500 votes in favour to the Bloc at a riding level. Hence riding that were won by Liberals with margins under 4,000 votes, like Brossard-La Prairie, are not serured in the next election. My present thinking is that Brossard is Bloc's to lose.

Jacques Saada will lose his seat this time around. Although this riding does have a large ethnic community in the Northern parts, the Francophones will go heavily Bloc Quebecois meaning a BQ win. This went Bloc Quebecois in 1993 and with the Bloc even stronger than 1993, they should take it this time around.

Saada is in terrible danger here. Even with a Cabinet post, he only won 4,000 votes over the Bloc Quebecois. Quebec Liberal support has crashed through the basement ceiling and the BQ are way ahead and will win any riding that came within 5,000 votes last time.
