I think Chris Hulne's higher profile will ensure this is an easy hold for the Lib Dems.

Huhne may be a powerful frontbencher for the Liberal Democrats, but his days are numbered. With the Tories polling at 40% (33% last go around) and the LibDems at 18% (22% prior) the math would surly point towards a Tory win here. While I could see some tactical voting on behalf of Labour voters, this constituency will go Conservative on election day regardless.

Although it currently looks marginal, the success of the Lib Dems at a local level - they have a majority on the council of 32, and over the Conservatives of 34 - as well as the sizeable Labour vote to be squeezed and Huhne's increased national recognition will allow him, I believe, to hold on to Eastleigh, possibly with an increased majority.
