All MLA ridings receive $119,000 per year to cover riding expenses, therefore, the legislative rule is that when working in their home riding, all expenses become NON ALLOWABLE EXPENSES. I checked expense claims for Bruce Ralston, and when working in his home riding, he is making expense claims for lunches, trans link fares, parking, and taxi. A NO NO. I also wonder, do the legislature employees writing out the expense cheques know exactly what is claimable. Seems the whole system is just a license to print money. |
