This is the safest NDP riding in the province so even if the NDP were reduced to one seat, it would be this one. This riding is so left leaning it would probably be one of the few in the province if not only that would vote Communist before voting BC Liberal. |

Proud BCer 154.5.209.240 |
Safest NDP seat in the province, although the Greens finished with a strong second in a by-election here last year. Incumbent NDP MLA Melanie Mark, who is also the first aboriginal woman elected to the BC Legislature, could be a strong candidate for leader of the NDP if John Horgan calls it quits after the election. |

It would actually be a lot of fun to run for another other party than the NDP in this riding; you could promise whatever you want and run a bombastic, fun filled campaign knowing that you would never win the riding no matter what you said or did. Much moreso than even Hastings or Kingsway these days, this former riding of Grace McCarthy is now the safest NDP seat in Vancouver; bar none. |

Malkmus 69.159.86.204 |
This is Mount Pleasant, one of the most progressive ridings in the province. Nothing to see here. |

South Islander 184.71.12.34 |
The NDP experienced rock bottom in 2001, and it included this riding. |

One of the two hold-outs from the 2001 BCNDP rout, this seat was never going to go anywhere but one place. To top that, BC's first aboriginal woman MLA is the incumbent and she's a lock for cabinet in a Horgan-led NDP government if they win. The question isn't whether Melanie will win; it's who will come in second. |

Easy hold for Melanie Mark in the BCNDP's safest riding in the province. |
