| The most upticket of the Etobicoke ridings, Etobicoke Centre likes to be represented by cabinet heavy-hitters; pre-Rock, it was synonymous with Mulroney finance minister Michael "GST" Wilson, who in his turn replaced the Greatest Liberal Natural Resource, Alastair Gillespie. It'd be a perfect fit for Tom Long, if he decided to run for the Alliance; the riding's natural conservatism, plus a popular, supportive MPP in Chris Stockwell, make it an Alliance-breakthrough natural. But the ironically left-Liberal Rock still appears solid as; don't know yet whether we're talking about soft sandstone in a polluted environment... |

| There will be a very specific, pointed, and damaging campaign waged against Allan Rock for his initial handling of the tained blood situation. Even if that situation is resolved or seen to be resolved and in the past, there are many patients groups and others that will be strongly resolved to bring this issue back. The Canadian Alliance, or possibly the NDP could be the beneficiaries. Also, Rock's initial baby -Bill c-68 is comming to pass - while this isn't big in the minds of his constituents (or is it?) it will attract funding to the CA and PC candidates from across Canada. Rock has weathered far too many storms. The C Alliance will likely take this one. |

| Allan Rock's baggage may keep him from ever winning a leadership or a riding in rural Canada, but he's quite safe in this GTA riding. He'll probably increase his majority. |

| L.O. is smoking crack if he thinks Allan Rock is even remotely vulnerable here. This is a nice, safe Liberal seat, where people like the Canada Health Act and gun registration. This guy is as solid as his surname. |
