Slam dunk for Claude Richmond against Cathy MacGregor. She has been a weak cabinet minister and generally not a popular MLA with the public. |

Libs only need to move 400 votes from 1996 to win this one. NDP currently maintaining less than 40% of their previous totals. Also, even 20 year NDP veteran Nelson Riis was turfed last year by a huge margin. |

This riding is primed to go liberal. There is not much question. Libs suffered from a controversial elitist candidate last election, and have replaced him with a star Socred candidate. If this goes NDP I will eat my shorts. |

I hope I don't have to join Tiny Tim in eating my shorts on this one - Claude Richmond was a former socred but a moderate one at that and will be a fine MLA from Kamloops once again. Liberal gain. |

This my second post for this riding - I think the political historians in the crowd will confirm this but I beleive this riding has voted for the winning party in all elections since the fifties and even if this isn't true it will be colored Red come election night. |

DMB is correct. The governing party has won this seat every time since the fifties . . . the 1850's. Kamloops has never failed to have a government member. Richmond is tremendously well organized and will win. |
