Another of those South-Eastern new towns that swung so violently to Labour in 1997. It will stick with them this time - Labour actually topped the poll here in Euro 99, even though the Tories notionally 'won' 350 seats (enough for a majority government if it were a 'real' election). Labour have lost overall control of Milton Keynes Council, but the beneficiaries of the fall in their vote in local elections have been the LibDems - the Tories are the third placed party on the council.
