Given that Labour have the edge in the '92 numbers, I don't they're going to be in much danger here now.

The seat's name suggests something proudly, residually Tory a la W Derbyshire or Cheshire's Kingdom of Wintertonia--but the addition of a dash of the Stoke conurbation was the kiss of death. Notionally Labour even in 1992, it won't switch now. Memo to Tories: quarantine Stoke-on-Trent.
