22/04/01 L.H.G. Putnam Email:
Having won with a very comfortable margin in previous elections, and having been a well recognized figure as former party leader, this is a no-contest for the SNP. Sir Sean Connery's support doesn't hurt either.
30/05/01 SB Email:
Alex Salmond has done what no other politician has dared to do. He has chosen London over Scotland for what one can only presume are 'lifestyle' reasons. His hypocrisy should be enough to lose this seat; the people do not like being taken for granted by a man who likes to get voted in every 2 years.
