Labour's longest serving MP is retiring this time - former Secretary of State for Wales and Attorney-General John Morris has served forty-two years in the House of Commons. A change of candidate should however make no difference in this, one of the safest of safe Labour seats. |

Labour- obviously. They had a huge win here last time and I don't see any reason to doubt a victory margin of over 20%. |

Note that Labour's '97 victory margin was smaller than their '92 victory margin. Nevertheless, Labour is going to retain almost every seat they have. PC has a chance but this is likely staying Labour. |
