An overwhelmingly welsh speaking constituency (it has the smallest electorate in Wales and some say the boundary was drawn up for that reason). It was represented at Westminster from 1974-92 by Dafydd Elis Thomas, leader of Plaid Cymru (he now represents this seat in the National Assembly, of which he is the Speaker). Plaid to win big, possible big increase in majority as they still appear to be on a bit of a roll in Wales. |
