I'm not able to provide any specific information about this riding, but the trends of the national polls seem to suggest that Labour will come out victorious here again.

As anyone who read Pete Davies' brilliant book 'This England' will know, Chris is a great person and it's good she's standing again despite the poor way women are treated at Westminster. Labour hold, easily.

A patch of Pennine goofiness with a history of sometimes goofily close marginality, though a Blair Babe took it by 11% in '97. It's certainly targetable, though trends are running against it...
