The Lord is popular, and so is his party. Any cabinet minister will get reelected (assuming no major bungles by the candidate or the party). Not to mention the other party's are not running star candidates in this riding. |

This seat should go PC but could switch Liberal if there is a momentum shift. This is the least Tory of the 3 Madawaska seats and some job losses in the local mills are the result of Volpe's department. Contrary to what is mentioned below Louis is a good candidate, everyone knows him because everyone shops at his General Store. Very gregorious and likeable unlike Volpe. This will go with whoever takes governemnt. |

Jeannot Volpe will win, not because of is likeable person, but the weakness of the Liberal candidate, the Liberal did not go into this election with their strongest slate....which might cause them to loose in a lot of rural ridings...... |
