This was the 3rd strongest Bloc riding last time around. I expect it to jump to first. Odd as it’s on the island of Montréal – a place most non Quebecois consider a federalist stronghold. This riding is on the eastern tip of the island - as the name, ‘point of the isle’ suggests in French. Without a strong ADQ or CPC presence, there can still be debate as to who will be second. With the CPC and Liberals fighting for that spot, the Bloc could tell half it’s voters in this riding to stay home and still win by a large margin. Even if the Tories were to shock the nation by winning 50 seats in Quebec, this riding would remain Bloc. This riding is the Bloc’s equivalent of Mount Royal or Beauce.

The most nationalist, most francophone riding on the island of Montreal, and the riding containing the seat of the leader of the Parti Quebecois. If the Bloc can't win here, then they are through.

Francine Lalonde n'a rien à craindre ici. Circonscription farouchement souverainiste, qui recouvre la circonscription du chef du PQ, sans compter une organisation politique redoutable, en partie héritée de l'ancienne députée péquiste Nicole Léger. Victoire bloquiste.
