| Labour only won this seat in 1997 and 2001. Current polling suggests they could lose as many as 27 seats in London. Even if this is on the apocalyptic side, it is completely uneasonable, then, for them to be in the running for 2005-London Tory gains, which likely suggested a structural change in their favour. |
