Labour is down in the polls, so they can't hold on. The LibDems are indeed up, but not as far as they were during the height of cleggmania. The Tories however seem on a slow but constant march upwards. They will win here. |

EP 99.162.224.34 |
This seat went to the Tories in the most unusual circumstances last time, with the sitting Labour MP was ruthlessly ousted in the nomination round (after well-publicised feud with Martin Salter next door) and then the newly selected candidate receiving terrible coverage for past indiscretions. But the labour base is there in Reading East, arguably more so then Reading West. This may be one rare seat where Labour gain back while their national number slide south. |
