A competitive seat. Labour would have a better chance if Martin Salter stayed on as he would have a significant personal vote, even factoring in the poor state the Labour is in. With a new candidate this would be a tough fight, especially given Conservatives won the vote in Reading West by a very clear margin in the local elections. |
