This riding has been traditionally Conservative for many years - Beaconsfield was represented by such Conservative heavyweights as Edmund Burke in the 18th Century, and Benjamin Disraeli in the 19th Century, and was also home to prominent social conservative commentator G.K. Chesterton in the early 20th Century. With this kind of history, and the margin won by the incumbent, I say Conservative hold. |
