I think Chris Hulne's higher profile will ensure this is an easy hold for the Lib Dems. |

Huhne may be a powerful frontbencher for the Liberal Democrats, but his days are numbered. With the Tories polling at 40% (33% last go around) and the LibDems at 18% (22% prior) the math would surly point towards a Tory win here. While I could see some tactical voting on behalf of Labour voters, this constituency will go Conservative on election day regardless. |

Although it currently looks marginal, the success of the Lib Dems at a local level - they have a majority on the council of 32, and over the Conservatives of 34 - as well as the sizeable Labour vote to be squeezed and Huhne's increased national recognition will allow him, I believe, to hold on to Eastleigh, possibly with an increased majority. |
