Easy Lib dem hold. With Clegg's game-changing performance in the TV debate, the Lib Dems are up 12% nationally on their 2005 showing, and the Tories are barely improving (2005: Lab 41, Con 31, LD 20; 2010: Con 33, LD 30, Lab 27). If these numbers hold - and they have shown no signof softening, it is difficult to see the Tories taking this one, or any LD seats in the South West. |

Given the massive swing from LD to Con in the recent Devon local election, this Lib Dem seat is now in serious jeopardy. |

The sea of yellow on result maps will vanish this time, as the Tories regain their traditional stomping grounds in the southwest. Constituencies like this one had a close enough margin that with Cameron set to win over 360 seats, this will just be another stepping stone in his victory. |
