    The good news for Norm is there's not a lot of doubt that he wins his third term here. Interesting fact : Macdonald is one of the lowest-spending incumbents in the province, spending less than $40,000 on each of his last two campaigns - you can only do that with a great deal of respect from the community, which Macdonald has as former Mayor of Golden and principal of the local high school even before that.
    The bad news is that his support of Farnworth in the leadership and his earlier resignation as caucus chair, while an act of personal principle, make him an unlikely selection for cabinet. Still, Macdonald has this seat I think for probably as long as he'd like to represent it.

    It is hard to see any opportunity for Liberals to take away any riding won by the NDP in the last election. NDP up, Libs way down.. this is another one in the bag for the NDP. The only issue here is whether the NDP breaks 60%.
