Given the mess the BCC has gotten themselves into this election, I take back anything I said about this riding. The NDP will hold it. |

It's billed as (B)un-official - but the burger poll at New Westminster's Burger Heaven restaurant on Agnes Street on Monday had the following: NDP 143 IND 89 LIB 58 GRN 40 CON 15 Scientific? No. But interesting, yes. I wondered aloud if the Independents make up a lot of people who don't plan on voting at all. Interesting...and tasty. Really good burgers, great fries and amazing milkshake if you're in the area. |

Call me crazy, but I think the Conservatives have a shot here; especially given that their candidate is the former MP |

Dawn Black's departure won't change anything here. Veteran union organizer Judy Darcy is a very solid fit with this riding. |

If my memory is correct - this riding has voted NDP in every election I can think of with the sole exception of 2001, all the way back through history. While the area continues to gentrify, this is about as solid footing as the NDP could ask for. Even without the name recognition of Dawn Black, I'd say they're shooting for 60% here. |

Barring a massive turnaround in the polls, I cannot see anything but a clear NDP win in this riding. |

This is hard core NDP turf and even a new candidate is not going to change this. Another seat for the NDP. |
