Despite Jason Kenney's recent bouts of racism and social media gaffes, I suspect that he will still do quite well. He could very well be the next Prime Minister or Opposition Leader depending on how the Conservatives do this election. I have my suspicions that he'll make a run for the leadership of the Conservatives when Harper decides to step down.

Given Jason Kenney's fabled feats of ethnic outreach on behalf of the Conservatives, the name 'Calgary Midnapore' sounds almost parodistic--though it isn't as if the demographics are terribly Bengali; in Calgary terms, that'd be further northwest. And ironically, that only makes him more immune to an increasingly unlikely (to say the least) Notley-effect challenge. (What? You still think it's May 2015 or something?)
