This is a very safe Liberal riding so unlike 2013, Christy Clark will not lose her own seat, even if she loses province wide. BC Liberals have strong lead in the Interior (if they lose it will be due to losses in the Lower Mainland not interior) + this is one of the safest BC Liberal ridings in the interior meaning she will not only win, but probably by a 2 to 1 margin. |

The Premier amazingly did better here in the byelection than Ben Stewart did in the general - she's a very strong campaigner and seems to always be able to gain ground. She may not do as well this time around because she'll be traveling the province and the Greens have a candidate, but this district won't be defeating a Premier just to send a message to the party. |

The local defeat of a majority winning Premier will not be repeated in this riding, which has reliably voted for the right-of-centre options for decades. |
