‘In Gourde We Trust’. Though perhaps lacking the airtightness of the Blaney machine--that is, falling over 5 points from '15 rather than retaining a majority; maybe a little too much Montreal-Quebec-axis oxygen getting in the way, or too much oxygen seeping across the Quebec Bridge into places like Charny. But still with a nearly 20-point margin over the Bloc, it doesn't exactly signal anything ominous.

Jacques Gourde n'est pas particulièrement flamboyant et présent médiatiquement, mais il a l'avantage d'être dans une région très favorable aux Conservateurs. Tout comme son voisin Blaney, sa réélection semble assurée.
