Another Burnaby seat that was close in '96, and that the BC Liberals will in 2001. Even though there was controversy with Sahota's nomination, the NDP still could not win (I believe Fred Randall isn't running again either). |

Look for a tight race with the NDP candidate edging out the Liberals. Longtime community involvement by NDPer Sav Dhaliwal as opposed to Burnaby newcomer Patty Sahota. Burnaby tends too be really parochial and voters don't like parachute candidates |
