| The Liberal party will win this riding. All the above comments are quite right. One must add that the Liberal candidate has 5 to 6 years political experience. Indeed, Mr.Rodriguez was an officer of the Youth Liberal party (sorry if the term isn't right). He has worked in the fields of international development. I think that the Liberals want to develop young blood here. The Bloque has thrown away this riding. The proof is that it didn't even bother putting a heavy weight in to even TRY to win it. Mr.St.Hilaire is a young man - very young - and has yet to complete his bachelor's degree. His professional experiences are limited to bus driving. ** This is not slanderous, it's on the Bloque website. | |||

| Le comter est un véritable château fort Lbéral, de plus l'organisation de ce comter est tellement puissante qu'il faudrait que le parti Libéral ne gagne aucun comter au Canada pour penser perdre ce comter. | |||

| Le candidat du Bloc, malgré tous ses efforts, ne pourra contrer le front commun des non-francophones dans ce comté. Les différents scandales n'auront pas d'effets ici. Même le départ de Yvon Charbonneau n'aura pas de conséquence. | |||

| Il ne faudrait pas surestimer l'ampleur du scandale des commandites. Le Bloc ne peut répéter l'exploit réalisé en 1993, pour trois raisons: 1- le populaire Lucien Bouchard était alors chef du Bloc; 2- le vote fédéraliste était très divisé, l'ex-maire d'Anjou Jean Corbeil étant alors le candidat progressiste-conservateur; 3- Jean Chrétien et les libéraux étaient au plus bas de la faveur populaire au Québec, ce qui n'est plus le cas aujourd'hui. Pour toutes ces raisons, cette circonscription restera libérale. | |||

| This riding encomasses mostly Francophone old city of Anjou, Quebeco-Italo-Haitian Rivière-des-Prairies and eastern parts of the old city of Montréal-Nord. In other words, not enough Francophone for BQ to win here. Furthermore both Anjou and Rivière-des-Prairies have improved on their economic position over the last couple of years and this area can't be considered anymore as lower middle class, it is moving into the typical middle class cathegory, it is richer than it's western so it means that it will be becoming more and more Liberal with years. Yves Charbonneau is there to win and nothing will prevent it, so any comments of a BQ win should be taken with a grain of salt. | |||

| Le Bloc a des chances de l'emporter, à condition d'y travailler très fort. Ce sera un des comtés où la lutte sera des plus chaudes au Québec. Je prédis une victoire serrée du Bloc. Il a déjà été bloquiste en 1993, et avec le scandale actuel pourrait le redevenir! | |||
