Malcolm James is the candidate for this riding. In my opinion he's a better candidate then Keith!
Ultimately, the winner of Chilliwack-Kent will be barry penner.
This seat is a lock for the BC liberal party because
1)-The Poor believe they benefited with the Liberals
Reality= The tax cut given to the poor did not meet the extra fees initiated by the liberals.
2)-The Region is a bible belt
This fact should help the NDP but it never does!
Even though the BC liberals increased gambling and have no social values, this segment of the population will vote liberal.
22 04 05 Jeremy Shantz
One would have to call this for the Liberals since Rollie Keith has pulled out of the race.
22 04 05 T. Chase
With Rollie Keith resigning and in trouble for praising Slobodan Milosevic, its going to be nearly impossible for another NDP Candidate to try and win now
23-Feb-05 M. Lunn
Considering this was the riding the Liberals won with the largest margin, expect them to win it again, although not with 75% this time, perhaps 60% would be my best guess. Nevertheless Barry Penner will be going back to Victoria
