I'm not ready to call this one yet - it's the most NDP part of the North shore of the Fraser and perhaps there only chance to win a seat in the area unless you think that it's going to be a clean sweep for the Liberals

A Liberal gain, the BC liberal candidate is the mayor of the District of Mission, now serving his third term, and is the Chair of the Fraser Valley Regional District, and I do belive it will be a clean sweep for the liberals.

I have no doubt in my mind that this will be a liberal pick-up. If the NDP were going to pick up this seat then the whole election would be in doubt. Otherwise, this will be an easy pick up for the Liberals and it wouldn't surprise me if the NDP had given up on this seat already.

To say the NDP still has a chance out here, at 18% in the polls,is crazy. Close last time, BC Liberal gain this time.

I am now ready to predict this one - Liberal gain - with a popular mayor and regional district rep running for the Liberals and the NDP's almost daily blunders the voters will make this riding a sea of Red/white and blue on election night.

it is tough to find an NDPer in this riding. Count on the BC Liberals to top 60% on E-Day
23/03/01 Mike Email:
c'mon with the liberals at 63% (latest poll), this fraser valley riding won't even be close. Liberal win.

No contest, STREIFEL was smart enough to stay away this time, come to think of it he has stayed away the last two terms, must be nice to know he is still at the trough.

I would like to know what Mr. Hawes would do for the little people in a community that seem to undergo unfair judgement over and over again. It seems that those with the money and backing can get away with everything and not have to pay the dues that we others have to pay. It seems that there are two rules set out for our communtiy. One for those who have connections and another one for those who do not. We who reside in this communtiy are tired of being pushed aside and watching this person who has the government in their back pocket get away with whatever they desire while the rest of us are held to the rules.

I think that the liberals have it this time and it's a good thing. The province is in need of a drastic change and i can only hope that will happen with the results of this election. People need to get over their fear of change and imbrace it because, if Liberals make it, it will be for the better
